• Baggage

  • The check-out day... can you store my baggage?

    The apartments must be left before 11AM. However, it is possible to store your luggage for free the day of check-out until 21pm. (9PM), no later than this time. Probably, you will have to go to some of our hotels in Barcelona to keep it there, it is the safest. Ask our staff the day of check-out.

  • Can you store my baggage later than 21h. (9PM) of the check-out day?

    If you are making a long trip around Catalonia, Spain or Europe... or simply need us to keep your luggage more than 21h. (9PM) on the day of check-out, know that it is possible to store it after that time only if you have a reservation for a later period. If you do not respect the reservation, accommodation will debit 20€ for each day or part that we have stored your luggage. Ask our staff about this possibility, because your luggage will be stored in one of our hotels in the city, not in the apartment´s building.

• Bookings

  • How far in advance should I make my reservation?

    There is no specific time limit in which you should make a reservation. Sometimes some apartment is available to book it the same day. In spite of that, what is sure is that if you are staying for longer than four days between February and October, it is highly recommended to book more than 15 days in advance to avoid problems of availability (up to 30 days in complicated dates!).
    

  • When do I pay my booking?

    When you book you will always pay a deposit. The rest of the reservation will be charged depending on the conditions of the apartment. In our booking system you have clearly explained in the description of the apartment the cancellation policy and terms of payment.

  • I will need a visa to come to Barcelona, can you help me?

    We only send official confirmations and documents for visa purposes for prepaid reservations (paid in advance without the possibility of changes or cancellations). Any consulate or embassy will ask you this kind of booking to give you the visa. It doesn´t matter if it is for studies, work or sightseeing.

  • Do you charge any booking fees?

    No, what we always charge is a deposit which is subtracted from the total amount to confirm your reservation. In any case we charge any fee for the fact of making a booking.

  • Who will access to my booking data?

    We and our reservation technology provider (bookassist LTD.) treat our customers and bookings data with the confidentiality and they are never delivered to third parties without permission. To your data or your bank card data will access our company, in which workers have signed a clause on privacy and confidentiality of processed data, our technology provider (bookassist LTD.) and finally, the bank and financial services that make our economical transactions possible.

  • It is safe to book on this website?

    The booking is made through our technology provider (bookassist LTD.), which deals daily with thousands of bookings since 1999 and works -like us- with the highest standards of online security. The page where you enter your card data is protected by the security protocol Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL encrypts your name, card number and expiration date before it is sent over the Internet, making them completely safe shipping. On the other hand, BARCELONA CITY APARTMENT accept reservations only through internet and guaranteed by a credit or debit card since it opened, as all the accommodation of our chain since April 1, 2005, when we began with our "on-line bookings only" system.

  • Can I book by phone?

    We are sorry, but we don´t accept any booking by phone. Also, we do not recommend you to book any accommodation by this way. From our booking system you will be able to see prices and availability in real time and have a written confirmation of the booked room, prices, etc..

  • Can I book by e-mail?

    For security and to guarantee prices and availability, you can not make your reservation by e-mail. In our reservation system you can book online securely and immediately receive confirmation of your reservation by e-mail.

• Apartments

  • Do you have non-smoking apartments?

    All apartments are non smoking. Smoking is not allowed in our facilities.

  • Are there apartments with separate (twin) beds? And with a double bed?

    All apartments have double beds, but also have a sofa-bed. That is, if you are four people and you reserve an apartment for four, you must know that the apartment has two double beds. If you are two and you reserve an apartment for two, ask us to enable the sofa-bed as a bed and you will be able to sleep separately.

  • How do I request an apartment facing to the street, etc.?

    Please indicate your preferences in the COMMENTS-SPECIAL REQUESTS field of your reservation. We can not guarantee it, but we will try to accommodate any request. But, we are very clear, we can never guarantee it.

  • What facilities/services are available in the apartments?

    You can see all the facilities of the apartmamentos on our website. Go to APARTMENTS section and you can see complete information under "Facilities" and "Types of Apartments." You can also see the facilities of your apartment on our reservation system by clicking on the title of the apartment you want to book and you will see its description

  • What is the electrical voltage in the apartments?

    The electrical voltage is 220V as it is standard in Spain. We have no converters or adapters, so you'll have to bring it with you or buy from a hardware store or specialty shop.

  • In the booking system, prices are per apartment or per person?

    As you can see clearly in the booking process the apartment prices are always offered by configuration. For example, if you are three people, you can book all the apartments that accept this capacity or another higher.

  • How many floors has the building? Do you have a lift?

    BARCELONA CITY APARTMENT building has a lift. It is entirely occupied by our apartments . It has ground floor and three upper floors.

  • Do you accept pets?

    I´m sorry, but we don´t accept pets in our apartments.

  • Are there apartments suitabe for disabled?

    Sorry, we do not have this type of apartments. However, if the customer doesn´t mind about it, we also don´t do. Do not hesitate to send an e-mail for any questions you have about it. The apartments not bookable for obvious reasons if you bring a wheelchair for example, are the duplex ones, the rest are perfectly usable and the building has an elevator. You decide...
    

• Confirmations, changes and cancellations

  • How do I cancel my reservation?

    In  the confirmation you recieve you have a link to cancel your booking, please use this way to cancel it.

  • I need to make changes in my reservation ...

    To make changes on the dates of your reservation, number of people... send us an e-mail to info@barcelonacityapartment.com explaining the changes you want to make. We will reply telling you if is possible to make the change, if it involves any additional charges, etc.

• Check-in & Check-out

  • When can I do my check-in? Is it possible to arrive before the check-in time?

    You can reach the apartments from 9am (no earlier), providing always before your arrival time when you book. However, you have to know that the check-outs are at 11AM, so there is no guarantee that your apartment will be available until 12h.-13h. If your apartment is still not available on your arrival, you can leave your luggage and arrange a time for checking-in.

  • The booking just be paid on the arrival?

    All bookings not paid in advance will be charged at the time of check-in (before you are able to see your apartment, of course). Otherwise, you can not check-in.

     

  • Can I pay by a credit or a debit card? Is there fee for this method of payment?

    You can pay by a bank card with no extra charge. You may pay by Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, Mastercard ... We do not accept American Express or Diner's Club.

     

  • Is it possible to leave later than 11AM the apartment? How to contract a late check-out?

    We are sorry, but it is difficult to contract a late check-out, so if your desire is to make the check-out beyond 11h. (11a.m.) we recommend to book an extra night or book an accommodation that can offer this possibility. Anyway, try to consult with our staff, but will have always additional charges.

  • What is check-out time?

    The apartments must be leaft before 11h. (11a.m.) the day of departure. Arrange the exact time of the check-out the arrival day, but that's the time limit.

     

  • Should I give my arrival time?

    Yes. If you don´t do it or you don´t notice changes in your arrival time you may have to wait up to 1 hour for check-in or even if you arrive late without warning, we can refuse to give you the check-in. Give us you aproximated arrival time in your reservation, and it is also very useful if in the COMMENTS field you give us the flight code, arrival time at the airport and airport name, or any information. You will receive an e-mail with our emergency number for any last minute changes. And if your plane changes it schedulle or you change your plans, you can always send us an e-mail to change the time of your check-in. We are flexible, but you have to report ...

  • Is possible to check-in at night?

    Please indicate your arrival time, but know that there are no problems or any additional charge for check-in at night until 2h. (2:00 a.m.) the day after the first day of the reservation. That is, if you book for the January 1, you can arrive until the 2:00 a.m. on 2 January.

• Services (parking, baby cot, extra beds...)

  • Is there internet access?

    We have wi-fi internet access in all our apartaments.

  • Can I book football, theatre... tickets through you? Can you call me a taxi?

    It is not possible to book tickets for events through our company. However, you can buy tickets and we will receive for you. Send us an e-mail BEFORE you buy the tickets for more information.

  • Is there parking available?

    The BARCELONA CITY APARTMENT has no parking. You can park in the same lane or adjacent streets for free.

  • Is it possible to use a crib? What is the price?

    Any child should sleep in a crib or an extra bed provided by us. The use of a crib or the extra bed not previsouly booked has an additional cost of 15€ per night.

  • Can I add an extra bed to my apartment?

    Yes. Send us an e-mail asking for that and we will answer with price and conditions.

  • How far are you from the Plaza de las Glories and the Agbar Tower?

    We are two blocks away, about 300 meters.

  • How far are you from the technological district "22@"?

    We are on the edge of this district, so you have it at hand.

  • How far are you from Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas?

    Four subway stops (7 minutes) away. You can take the subway 300 meters away from your apartment. If you prefer walking, it will take you 20-25 minutes to arriva to Plaza Catalunya.

  • How much does a taxi from the airport costs? How long it takes to arrive to the apartments´ building?

    A taxi from the Aeroport del Prat (BCN) costs between 29 € and 35 € and takes 30 to 40 minutes to arrive depending on traffic.

  • Are you well connected to the fairgrounds in the city?

    We are well served by the subway. You can take the metro at Glories square (Line 1-red line), three hundred meters from the apartament, and at the seventh stop you at the door of Montjuic Fairgrounds (12 minutes).

  • I'm going to a conference-convention held at the CCIB, are you close?

     We are in the same neighborhood of the CCIB (Internation Convetions Center of Barcelona), but we do not recommend go there walking (20-25 minutes). It is best to take the tram next to your apartment (300 meters) and in five minutes you're there.

     

  • Are you near the "Palau de Congressos de Catalunya"?

    Absolutely not, we are close to the CCIB, no the Palayu de Congressos, that is not in the area. However, in Barcelona the metro is very good, and you can be there in about 20 minutes by subway.

  • Are you far from the beach?

    No, you can go there walking in 15 minutes.
